50th Regiments Thanksgiving Adventure
While many were enjoying their Thanksgiving meal with their family, Colquitt County’s 50th
Regiment was marching in the Philadelphia Dunkin’ Donuts Parade under the direction of
band director Liz Savage. Even though the weather there ranged from 20 to 30 degrees,
our band managed to march through the 1.4 mile long parade in full uniform.
After marching, they traveled over to New York for a little site-seeing adventure. 50th got the
advantage to see the Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial, a view of the city from the top of the
Empire State Building, to visit Times Square and Grand Central Station and even to
participate in Good Morning America. Let’s congratulate our 50th Regiment Band on their
performance in the Philadelphia Dunkin’ Donuts Parade!
